The Australian Sports Commission plays a central leadership role in the development and operations of the Australian sport sector and acts as the leading sports agency in Australia, building collaboration, alignment and effectiveness within the Australian sport sector. The Finance Branch is responsible for driving strategic financial management across the ASC through a broad range of financial management services. Specifically, the finance branch is responsible for: payment and receipt processing; taxation and legislative compliance; statutory reporting; treasury; management of the ASC capital and operating budgets with the Government financial framework; and ensuring a strong internal control framework is maintained around financial processes and financial systems.
The Finance Team are looking for a new team member to support and maintain the ASC’s Financial Management Information System (FMIS), TechnolgyOne Financials, providing assistance with finance system maintenance in accordance with relevant frameworks. To be considered for this role, you will have extensive experience in systems help desk support, have a strong working knowledge of the TechnologyOne enterprise resource platform, and have a detailed understanding of financial processes. You will also have strong communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships with a diverse group of stakeholders. The way things are done are very important to our team, so the successful candidate will be required to actively promote and role model the ASC’s core values of Excellence, Integrity, Respect and Teamwork.
To be successful in the role, you have to:
- With broad direction from the Assistant Director – Financial Systems, deliver the Section/Program operational agenda to achieve business outcomes. This includes:
• Provision of Help Desk support for the FMIS, ensuring appropriate user
maintenance, trouble shooting and system enhancements are undertaken
to minimise disruption to the day to day activities of the ASC;
• Supporting and maintaining existing ASC finance systems to facilitate
operations, ensuring the security and integrity of financial data;
• Assisting with end of month system rollover processes and reporting;
• Assisting with system enhancements and upgrades, including testing and
training;
• Maintaining and updating relevant documentation and forms related to the
FMIS;
• Initiating new processes and practices where appropriate to support the
correct use of the finance system; and
• Providing assistance and coaching to staff and employees as required in
relation to the use of the system.
- Actively participate in the implementation and delivery of policies, guidelines
and other resources to achieve business outcomes for the ASC.
- Actively promote and role model the ASC values of Excellence, Integrity,
Respect and Teamwork, and contribute to positive organisational change, effective communication, and continuous improvement at the ASC.
Salary range = $76,852 - $88,759 per annum + up to 15.4% superannuation.
