In addition to providing funding, Sport Australia is focused on improving the capability of sporting organisations to create an effective and sustainable national sport sector.What we wantAs a senior member of the Sport Programs team the Senior Program Manager – Engagement is responsible for leading the development of systems and processes that enhance Sport Australia’s communication and collaboration with National Sporting Organisations, peak industry sporting bodies and government agencies. Leading a small team, you will drive the development of the Sport Australia Partner Portal, supporting increased usage and adoption by sector partners. You will also establish and oversee a platform for strong relationships with state and territory agencies of sport and recreation, and peak industry bodies providing a coordinated approach to engagement.What the applicant needsDegree or higher qualification/s and demonstrated senior level experience in Business, Sport, Government, or a related field.Demonstrated senior level management experience, with a strong track record of success in managing a team to deliver strategic objectives in a diverse environment.Demonstrated success in leading industry engagement, collaboration, and communication.Demonstrated success in leading business process improvement and optimisation of digital platformsDemonstrated capacity to provide timely, compelling, and concise advice to inform executive members and senior management to support decision making.In-depth understanding of the current issues affecting the sport landscape.Position is available until 30 June 2024.
