Senior Advisor – Business Development

Sport Australia invests in national sporting organisations, including organisations for people with a disability, to champion the value of sport and encourage Australians of all backgrounds, ages, and abilities to get involved in sport. In addition to providing funding, Sport Australia is focused on improving the capability of sporting organisations to create an effective and sustainable national sport sector.As the Senior Advisor – Business Development you will establish and deliver the business development approach, including the B2B acquisition roadmap and commercial priorities, for the Australian Sport Learning Centre (Learning Centre) and Sport Australia’s online diagnostic tool, Game Plan. Constructing and establishing a clear commercial framework, asset protection and commercial optimisation model for Game Plan and the Learning Centre will be a key immediate priority.Experienced leader in B2B acquisition and/or commercial activities with a strong focus on intellectual property, local and global financial modelling.Experience in the commercialisation and B2B acquisition of online education, learning and development, and/or training products is desirable.Experience in forming strong relationships across a diverse stakeholder group, with a proven ability to deal with objections, reposition and re-engage.Ability to influence stakeholders and work closely with them to determine and reach acceptable and agreed outcomes which grow sector engagement and capability.Position is based in Canberra, Melbourne or Sydney and is a fixed term contract through until 31 December 2022.Whilst this current vacancy is for the term 1 September 2021- 31 December 2022, please note that an order of merit may be used to fill other opportunities, including longer term contracts or ongoing vacancies, should the opportunity arise within 12 months from the role being advertised. Salary range = $108,243 - $127,726 per annum + up to 15.4% superannuation.Please note the ASC operates under The Australian Sports Commission Act 1989 and is separate to the Australian Public Service terms and conditions of employment.
