The Sport Participation branch oversees the ASC’s strategic approach to participation throughout the sport sector. Within this branch the National Participation Outcomes team is responsible for connecting the ASC with the Australian sport network, particularly National Sporting Organisations (NSOs). The team manages the ASC’s participation investment in NSOs, and supports enhanced participation planning within the sector as well as the ongoing delivery of the Sporting Schools program (SSP). As a Participation Adviser you will manage a port-folio of sports and a range of strategic projects relating to sport participation which support strategic participation planning, investment and program delivery. In this role you will be the primary conduit between the ASC and NSOs for matters regarding participation, including supporting the development of high quality plans and strategies that will increase sports’ sustainability and capability to deliver participation outcomes, including within the SSP.Key skills and experience required includes:Demonstrated analytical skills, including the ability to:Identify issues, and organisation-wide and program implications, and propose solutions; andHarness information, identify gaps and assess the value of information to identify opportunities with internal and external partners.Sound communication skills (including interpersonal, negotiation, influencing and representation) and a proven ability to build and maintain effective relationships both internally and externally with a diverse range of stakeholders.Demonstrated business acumen, planning and management skills, and the ability to identify and achieve work objectives within an often fast-moving environment.Position is based in either Brisbane, Melbourne or Canberra and will be available until 10 May 2018.Employment benefits include free parking facilities and use of on-site gymnasium.Applications close 5.00pm AEST Wednesday, 21 June 2017 (no late applications will be accepted).Salary range = $86,700 - $99,960 per annum plus superannuation.Applicants must be Australian citizens or permanent residents of Australia.Job File 1 : Application for EmploymentJob File 2 : Job Description
